Student Council
The NCS Student Council is composed of the President and Vice President of each class, 6th through 12th Grades, and meets monthly to discuss issues relevant to the student body, to brainstorm ways of improving the spiritual, social, and academic life of the school, and to plan and implement student activities.

National Beta Club
The Beta Club is a service organization whose members participate in a variety of activities to benefit the school and the community. Membership recognizes those high school students who maintain high academic standards and demonstrate qualities of Christian character, leadership, and service.  Junior Beta Club is designed for those students in 5th through 8th grades.

Crusader Yearbook Staff
Each year the students of the NCS yearbook staff produce an original school yearbook for the student body. Although the student staff is supervised by a faculty advisor, it is the students themselves who create, design, photograph, crop, edit, and proof the yearbook.

Talent Identification Program (TIP)
Each year Duke University recognizes the academic achievement of rising 7th grade students through their previous standardized testing and affords them the opportunity of taking the standard college entrance exam, the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT).

Summer Ventures and Governor's School
These North Carolina programs select qualified 10th and 11th grade students for intensive summer programs on various UNC campuses. Areas of study for the Summer Venture program include science and math, while the Governor's School focuses on fine arts and philosophy.

Students Against Drunk Driving (SADD)
SADD provide hard-hitting information and real-life statistics to fellow students regarding the devastation caused by driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Positive peer pressure reinforcing scriptural principles is their most effective deterrent.
