The ACSI District Spelling Bee was held at Norlina
Christian School on Friday March 6th. About 185
students, 40 judges, chaperones and parents, a
total of 300 people were
on campus. Mrs. Lyles coordinated the event with
the help of NCS parent volunteers and staff.
Mrs. Bowen and Mrs. Stewart helped with the
food at the lunch room. Many parents and
students took advantage of the Scholastic Book
Fair in the students' center.
Mrs. Shah,
who coordinated the book fair, said that she was
very delighted to see the scores of visitors
buying books.
NCS had two students place for the 8th
grade. Anna Britt Harty placed first and Rebecca
Shah placed 3rd.
