CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR 2009
GRADUATES!!!
The High
School Graduation ceremony was held on May 29th
2009. Fourteen of our senior students graduated this
year. Dr. John K. Bergland, former Associate Dean at
Duke Divinity School in Durham told the graduating
class of Norlina Christian School Friday night that
"It's always too soon to quit." The ceremony was
attended by around 200 graduates, parents, friends
and staff of Norlina Christian School. The total
amount of scholarship money received by this year's
graduating class was $173,000.

The NCS
Golf Tournament was held at Kerr Lake Country Club
on Friday May 8. There was a good turn out of
players and helpers. Registration started at
10:00am. NCS Staff members, students, and Parents
came to help set up for the event. The game started
at 1:00pm and ended at 5:00pm. Door prizes included
gift certificates to restaurants, were given away to
the players. Mr. Larry Goodwin won the Closest to the hole
contest. The winning team was led by Mrs. Wanda
Thompson and the second place went to Mr. Walter
Beal's team.
Mr. Shah (NCS Administrator)
said he was pleasantly surprised at the turnout and
that the first ever NCS Golf tournament was a
success." Thanks to all those who helped and
sponsored to make this event a success!

graduated. The ceremony was attended by
the NCS staff, family & friends of
Kindergarten students.
